A damp and misty start this morning, but at least the predicted evening storms didn’t happen. We were hoping to dry a few things out this morning, but a plague of hungry mosquitoes meant we didn’t hang around too long at the campsite.
We left Biganos by some minor roads, but soon came across a railway path that would lead us right past our breakfast stop in Lege and onto lunch in Lacanua. Both taken on the comfort of park benches. At least we also had blue skies for the first time in a few days.

We were both feeling a bit tired and fancied a short day. Tim needed to dry out some things that got wet in yesterday’s downpour and I was keen to air my kit as some was getting damp. The tents hadn’t really had chance to dry either. Turned out the old train track went all the way to Hourtin- around 45 miles. Most of it dead straight. Sadly as for most of this trip, the wind was not helpful !

We googled a few campsites and decided to try and stay there. Made it just after 4 and tried to get a cabin but none available, so out with the tents and drying!

No sign of mozzies in the evening, but did have this little visitor !
