Woke up this morning to the sound of gentle rain on the tent. The forecast is for an unsettled day, with the possibility of violent storms again. Judging by the accuracy of French weather forecasts, we decided that meant a lovely day ahead.
We agreed at the start of the trip that we would build in some rest days, apart from a shorter days ride when crossing the border we haven’t done that yet. Although we haven’t fixed on a route back yet, we must also be somewhere around the halfway point.
We both like this campsite, it has all the facilities we need, including a large swimming pool 50m from the tent and it’s pretty quiet as most of the weekend’s holidaymakers left last night. I suspect it would be rammed full during French Holidays. It’s also walking distance to town and shops – and best of all €7.50 a night each – and no mozzies ! So a rest day it became.
