For once a beautiful start to the day, blue skies and sun and a gentle breeze, so everything was quick to pack away.
Having spent most of the last week close to the coast, often using EV1 “The Velodessy” today we started to move inland. We will roughly follow the path of the “Velofrancette” a new long distance cycle route linking La Rochelle on the Atlantic with Caen on the channel.
First target was La Rochelle, 22 miles away. We decided to use EV1 for this as it ran right outside the campsite.

About an hour later we rolled into Châtelaillon Plage and another park bench stop.

No Pain au Chocolat or Chocolatine this morning, but a Suisse. They were very tasty !
Then it was follow the coast on a mixture of gravel and asphalt tracks into La Rochelle.

Passing on the way possibly the biggest marina I have ever seen.

The entrance to the old port of La Rochelle was also pretty impressive.

From the it was on La Velofrancette, pretty much following the Canal Marans a La Rochelle, all the way to our camp for the night. A shorter day for us, but chance to catch up on domestic duties!
