Staying two nights in Den Helder, so I can get over to Texel Island, the largest of the Wadden Island group. As in the previous three days, today’s journey started with a ferry.
This one was a bit posher than I expected for a 20 min trip.
Texel itself was lovely and all the better fot a relatively wind free day. I did a very gentle tour of the island. No mishaps or frightening birds, just lots of pretty sheep, houses and cycle paths
There were also the obligatory tulips followed by high calorie and zero alcohol lunch
A quick stop off at the Dunes on the way back and the harbour back on the mainland at Den Helder, then it was off to dinner with my hosts
