Everything is unpacked, cleaned and put away except for the bike, which needs some post tour TLC
I covered a couple of km short of 1100 over the 15 days, no proper rest days as such but I did have several days where I kept the distances low, notably the day on Texel and in Arnhem. so was averaged around 73km a day.

That leaves me with the bottom section of the country still to explore, I’d also like to cycle around the Zuider Zee, so hopefully will be back.
Overall a great experience, I was lucky with the weather in that it was really pretty dry bar the last day and in the second week at least, not too cold. The wind was draining at times , but that’s always going to be an issue in the Netherlands. The scenery people and cycling infrastructure were great and they make pretty good pancakes …..
For those who are interested, it obviously worked out much more expensive than a camping trip, average cost per day for everything in the Netherlands was around €90-95.
In terms of accommodation Vrienden op de Fiets hosts were obviously the best value, but the hotels and B&Bs were generally quite reasonable. At all these places I found the hosts, owners and staff incredibly welcoming and helpful. I stayed in 4 Air BnBs and with the exception of Arnhem, didn’t feel the same warmth, it felt much more businesslike. So personally I’d try and avoid them next time. Bedandbreakfast.nl proved to be a very useful site, providing some great accommodation as did booking.com
So that’s it for the 2022 Dutch tour hopefully more tours to come later in the year
