Steady Pedals

So this week I was due to lower myself into a comfortable leather seat and relax for a short journey westwards to Cologne and a few days cycling on the Brompton. Those plans have all changed. I will still be lowering myself into a comfortable leather seat, this one a full recliner, but I’ll be heading Eastwards instead and without the bike. Sounds exciting doesn’t it ! Except the destination is a matter of a few miles East and the leather seat is in fact a dentist chair, where a hopefully competent dentist will get their chance to practice some surgical skills on me. Given a choice Cologne seems preferable, but I’ve a low tolerance to pain, so the dentist it is. I’m hopeful this will be a relatively short interlude before I commence some more touring. We’ll see !
