But before the day our night. The cabin was buffeted all night with gale force winds, if that wasn’t enough to keep us awake, the scraping of the table and chair on the roof terrace as they were blown about certainly did.
The morning added in the threat of lashing rain, which conveniently arrived in bucket loads shortly after we left camp. It was a long slog to our first refreshment break. Grinding into the wind and rain, punctuated by short breaks hiding in bus shelters when it became torrential

I haven’t mentioned of course, that we still had the continuous hills to deal with. Eventually we reached Pleneuf-val- Andre, and time for my first crepe.

Souvenir photos taken we headed off. The rest of the day was more of the same, but with the added bonus of my GPS giving up, along with my will to live. Life improved after another visit to a patisserie, but it wasn’t a pleasant day. We did have one highlight, with the cycle track passing over an impressive old viaduct and of course we had the chance to evaluate Brittany’s bus shelters. Note to the council – the old wood ones offer the best shelter, but they all need seats.

After yet more rain and no let up in the wind, we cut short our journey by around 10km and booked ourselves some luxury accommodation at a local campsite.

Tomorrow looks like more of the same, but with the promise of things improving towards the weekend
I suggest a new title. Journeys in a tiny fish tank! Disappointed no pics of unhealthy food. Travel safe.
