Day off from cycling and too much blogging today. Relaxing in Arnhem, visiting some of the sites related to Operation “Market Garden” again. Photos from last night and today. Last week marked the 82nd anniversary of the battle, still commemorated during the month of September here, with the Airborne flag flown from many public buildings, restaurants and private houses.

OK – sick of paying 15-18€ for a hotel breakfast we searched around town for something cheaper. We discovered SPAR city, the usual SPAR stores, but with eat-in and takeaway food. So breakfast was one large pot of Greek yoghurt with Granola, two pastries and a mint tea (made with fresh mint) all for around 8€
